“I (age 69) had a bad fall during my morning jog – landing with my full body weight onto concrete on my right wrist. While there was no fracture, the MRI revealed multiple major ligament tears, viz. avulsion of the ulnar styloid attachment, foeval attachment, ulnar collateral ligament and meniscual homologue of the TFCC. After a month with my arm in a splint brace and a sling, my Ortho referred me to Dr Nandagopan at The Physio Clinic near Ambalamukku, Kowdiar who specialise in issues of the arm and upper body. I understand he is also an expert in physiotherapy for spinal scoliosis. I can’t be more grateful for this decision of my Ortho who is an expert in multi ligament tears and sports injuries. When Dr Nandagopan personally examined me, he mentioned that I should be fine in 12-15 visits. He has a committed team of girls who are professionally qualified and trained. They attend to their patients with care and understanding. True to his word, after just 13 sittings, I not only got back the full range of movement in my right wrist, but am also able to do 50 wall push-ups without any pain and have been cleared by my Ortho.
